Join us - become a Volunteer!
Currently, our volunteers take part in activities such as litter picking, planting and maintenance and education activities. We would love you to come on board and become a volunteer. Perhaps you would like to get involved by growing seedlings and nurturing plants at home for the park; writing bids for funding and helping with our social media. Perhaps you could bring new activities to the park.
There are lots of benefits to volunteering. As well as helping to make the park a better place, you will be more active. You will make lots of new friends and it is a great way to reduce the loneliness and isolation many have experienced over the last few years of Covid.
We are looking for volunteers to run 'Bat and Chat' sessions. This would mean being available at particular times to allocate the bats and balls. Perhaps you could even run competitions/leagues. (Online training available). If you can help, please use the form on the contact page and let us know.

As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands - one for helping yourself, and one for helping others

The great thing about volunteering is that you'll meet people from diverse backgrounds and ages, who share a common interest.
Like me, they are committed to making a positive impact for a good cause.

I love to see kids making new friends and getting involved in the community. it's great to see kids out and
about playing and helping kids with their mental health after Covid.

I love to build bridges and bring communities together, intergenerational, respect both ways. Social interaction
is a way forward with mental health issues rising. We all need a little bit of mindfulness.

My life is my kids and my kids are my adventure. I love volunteering as brings together both my two
greatest jobs - being a mum and being an educator.
