Friends of Springfield Park

About Us

Vision & Mission

The VISION the Friends of Springfield Park has is to continue to improve our group. In doing so we will give the local community using Springfield Park a physical point of contact when enjoying their beautiful Community Park. We intend to keep the park clean and tidy, develop the plants and horticulture in the park in partnership with Liverpool City Council and create an oasis for the local community to escape the trials and tribulations of our hectic world. We will also be keeping the fun of going to the park going with fun days and events for all of the community.

We believe our MISSION is to develop & manage Springfield Park by working with our Local Community, Local businesses, Liverpool City Council & our neighbours Alder Hey Children's Hospital for the benefit of the whole community whilst always maintaining that Springfield Park always remains in public hands.

Our Team

Accountable to our members

Stephen McNally

Steve has been involved with green space issues for several years as Chair of Save Our Green Spaces Liverpool and worked with many green space groups. He was Chair of Friends of Wavertree Playground (The Mystery) and at the end of last year became the new Chair of our organisation.

Keith Jones

Vice Chair

Keith is the backbone of the committee and has been with the organisation since it's inception. He is also the resident horticultural wizard who knows everything you need to know about the Park, planting and growing plants and vegetables. Without him we wouldn't be able to do half the fun things and he makes sure our raised beds are the best in Liverpool !

Donna Winrow

The Organisations - Secretary/ Administrator

Donna runs the organisation. Without her there wouldn't be any Litter Picks, Planting days or Fun days. Totally in control of the groups administration and contact with outside sources and members. The future of the Friends of Springfield Park records and paperwork are safe in her hands.

Other committee members :

We have several other committee members and their details will be put on the web site as we continue to develop the site.

They are Margaret, Dave and John with others to be brought in at a later stage
