Looking after OUR Park

With the changes that have happened to the World in 2020 we believe it is vitally important that Green Spaces should be the most important space in any community. Therefore Friends of Springfield Park are determined to keep Springfield Park open to the public and an asset for the local community.

Planting & Maintenance

We take our responsibility as a Friends Group very seriously and once we have planted items we continue to maintain the plants and now vegetables that we plant. This involvement allows the members & community to feel they truly have ownership of the Park working with Liverpool City Council at all times.

Litter picking &  Rubbish Removal

This area of the Friends Group work is probably the most important due to constraints on Liverpool City Council funds. We feel it is our duty and obligation to work with the Council to keep Springfield Park clear of litter and rubbish so we coordinate fun days simply Litter Picking. It works come down and see.

OF

SPRINGFIELD PARK

A few Words from the Chair

Dear fellow Park Lovers

This web site has been set up to allow you to gain access to the Friends of Springfield Park information, ask questions, become members and generally get involved with Springfield Park the Communities Park.

I am honoured to be the Friends of Springfield Park present Chair. After several years of members feeling their input was not necessary we have instigated the Friends Forum standards of interaction with our member's. We now have a thriving membership and a diverse committee which is fully accountable to it's members and the public.

I hope you will now join the Committee, Members, Local Businesses and other members of the General Public in the upkeep and safeguarding of Springfield Park.

We believe the Park should always be in Liverpool City Council Hands or the hands of the Community that the Park serves.

We believe Springfield Park should always be seen as an oasis from daily life. Free to visit and enjoy for generations to come.

So please go to our Membership page and join in the fun of a Friends Group.

Cheers

Steve
